Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Vocational or technical certification post secondary degree or technical certifications preferred.
• Two years or more of classroom training and work experience in mechanical repair preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties.
• Performs standard vehicle maintenance and component inspections and repairs.
• Performs preventive maintenance on heavy-duty vehicles.
• Diagnoses mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic tools when applicable.
• Identifies root cause of failures and performs repairs as required.
• Replaces defective components as instructed.
• Interacts with customers/drivers to determine nature of the issue and task.
• Ensures compliance with safety, DOT, MOT, and company guidelines.
