Job summary

ACTS Fleet Maintenance in Johnson City, TN seeks an experienced diesel technician for shop and mobile field service. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain medium and heavy-duty trucks, aligning with uptime, safety, and first-time fix goals.

Qualifications

• Proven hands-on experience as a medium/heavy-duty diesel technician.
• Diagnostic software and mechanical troubleshooting proficiency.
• Ability to work independently and follow structured shop processes.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Advanced diagnostics using OEM and aftermarket scan tools to read fault codes.
• System repairs including diesel engines, brakes, suspension, steering, drivelines and transmissions.
• Electrical and emissions troubleshooting of complex systems.
• Preventative maintenance including DOT inspections and fluid changes.
• Field ownership: diagnose and repair equipment on-site with professionalism.
