Job summary

ACTS Fleet Maintenance, Inc. in Knoxville, TN is seeking a Diesel/Fleet Technician to maintain and repair commercial fleets. You will diagnose, repair, and service medium- and heavy-duty diesel trucks, trailers, and equipment, using advanced diagnostics and safety-minded practices.

The ideal candidate has diesel experience, a valid driver's license, and a mindset for growth through OEM and technical training. A long-term career path with performance incentives and a collaborative team awaits.

Qualifications

• Experience on diesel engines and fleet vehicles.
• Valid driver's license; CDL is a plus.
• ASE certifications are a plus (or willingness to obtain).
• Ability to perform preventive maintenance and major mechanical repairs.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance inspections and scheduled services.
• Diagnose and repair medium- and heavy-duty diesel trucks, trailers, and commercial equipment.
• Troubleshoot engine, electrical, air, hydraulic, suspension, and brake systems using diagnostic equipment.
• Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining high-quality workmanship.
• Identify potential issues before they become costly breakdowns.
• Accurately document repairs and inspections.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.

What You’ll Do

As a Diesel/Fleet Technician, you’ll play a critical role in keeping our customers’ commercial fleets safe, reliable, and operating at their best.

Responsibilities include:

• Perform preventive maintenance inspections and scheduled services
• Diagnose and repair medium- and heavy-duty diesel trucks, trailers, and commercial equipment
• Troubleshoot engine, electrical, air, hydraulic, suspension, and brake systems using advanced diagnostic equipment
• Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining high-quality workmanship
• Identify potential issues before they become costly breakdowns
• Accurately document repairs and inspections
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
• Work closely with a team committed to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction

Qualifications

Preferred qualifications include:

• Experience working on diesel engines, fleet vehicles, heavy equipment, trailers, or commercial trucks
• Medium- or heavy-duty diesel repair experience preferred
• Strong mechanical aptitude and diagnostic skills
• Experience using electronic diagnostic software and equipment
• Ability to perform preventive maintenance and major mechanical repairs
• Valid driver's license
• CDL is a plus but not required
• ASE certifications are a plus (or willingness to obtain)
