ACTS Fleet Maintenance in Knoxville, TN is seeking a skilled Diesel Technician (Medium & Heavy-Duty) to join our shop and mobile field service teams. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain medium to heavy-duty trucks, with focus on uptime, safety, and doing it right the first time.

We offer a pay range of $20.00–$50.00 per hour, weekly pay, and a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, retirement match, PTO, and paid uniforms.

• Proven hands-on experience as a medium/heavy-duty diesel technician.

Responsibilities

• Advanced Diagnostics: reading fault codes and data on late-model trucks.
• System Repairs: diesel engines, brakes, suspensions, drivelines, transmissions.
• Electrical & Emissions: troubleshooting complex electrical systems.
• Preventative Maintenance: DOT inspections, fluid changes, brake checks.
• Field Ownership: diagnose and repair equipment on-site.

Diesel Technician (Medium & Heavy-Duty) — ACTS Fleet

• Pay Range: $20.00 – $50.00 per hour (Based on experience and output)
• Earnings Potential: Earn 20–30% above the local industry average
• Frequency: Weekly pay , paid every Friday
• Schedule: 3-day weekends every other week for real work-life balance
• Paid OEM Training: Continuous technical education including Mitsubishi, Cummins, and NAPA.

The Work (Shop & Mobile Field Service)

You’ll work on medium and heavy-duty commercial trucks and fleet vehicles—both in-shop and independently in the field with a focus on uptime, safety, and getting repairs done right the first time.

• Advanced Diagnostics: Reading fault codes and analyzing data on late-model trucks using OEM and aftermarket scan tools.
• System Repairs: Diesel engines, brake systems, suspension, steering, drivelines, and transmissions.
• Electrical & Emissions: Troubleshooting complex electrical systems and emissions components.
• Preventative Maintenance: Conducting rigorous DOT inspections, fluid changes, and brake checks.
• Field Ownership: Representing ACTS Fleet professionally while diagnosing and repairing equipment directly on-site.

What You Bring

• Proven Experience: Strong hands-on experience as a medium/heavy-duty diesel technician.
• Diagnostic Skills: Advanced proficiency with diagnostic software and mechanical troubleshooting.
• Independence: Capability to handle complex issues alone and follow structured shop processes.
• Licensing: Valid driver's license required; CDL preferred , but not required.
