Job summary

ACTS Fleet Maintenance in Asheville, NC seeks a Diesel Technician to service medium and heavy-duty trucks, both in shop and on-site at customer locations. The role emphasizes diagnostics, preventative maintenance, and safe, professional service.

State Certified Vehicle Inspector certification is required. We offer competitive pay ($30-$50 per hour), weekly pay, a 401(k) plan with company match, comprehensive benefits, paid time off, and ongoing training. CDL preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a Diesel Technician, Diesel Mechanic, Fleet Technician or Heavy Truck Technician.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting ability.
• Experience with medium- and heavy-duty trucks.
• Familiarity with OEM and aftermarket diagnostic tools.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred but not required.
• State Certified Vehicle Inspector Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and DOT inspections.
• Diagnose and repair diesel engines and related systems.
• Troubleshoot electrical, emissions, and aftertreatment systems.
• Repair brakes, steering, suspension, driveline, and transmission systems.
• Use OEM and aftermarket diagnostic tools and software.
• Complete inspections and repair documentation accurately.
• Verify repairs through testing and quality inspections.
• Support customers in shop and mobile service.
• Diagnose and repair equipment at customer locations.
• Operate independently and manage daily service calls.
• Deliver professional customer service.
• Maintain a safe and organized mobile work environment.

State Vehicle Inspector Certification Required

ACTS Fleet Maintenance is hiring experienced Diesel Technicians to join our growing team. We service medium and heavy-duty commercial trucks and fleet vehicles both in the shop and in the field.

What You'll Do
