Ready to move your career forward? As a Technician at Penske, you’ll perform preventative maintenance and repairs of all levels on the newest and best maintained fleet of vehicles in the industry. You will help our customers keep their vehicles in shape and on the road.

As a Technician II at Penske, you are a respected technician. You are trusted to work independently on major and minor repairs, perform road tests to diagnose problems, and complete maintenance tasks. You will also mentor new technicians and continue to grow your skills through learning from experienced techs and your manager.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Ensure vehicles are maintained and safe for customers
  • Perform preventive maintenance on trucks and trailers efficiently
  • Repair and troubleshoot components like engines, transmissions, differentials, turbochargers, fuel systems, etc.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area
  • Use Penske’s tools and technologies for diagnostics and repairs
  • Participate in technician training programs
  • Assist with other projects as assigned

Qualifications:
  • At least 3 years of practical vehicle maintenance experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational/technical certification preferred
  • Training and experience in diagnosing major components; ASE Certification and 608/609 preferred
  • Proficient with diagnostic and hand tools
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Problem-solving, customer service, and communication skills
  • Teamwork ability
  • Willingness to work in non-climate-controlled conditions
  • Basic computer skills
  • Adherence to safety policies and regulations, including DOT and OSHA standards
  • Regular attendance and ability to work as scheduled
  • Willingness to travel within the district, pass background checks, drug screening, and maintain DOT requirements
Physical Requirements:
  • Frequent movement, standing, walking, climbing, bending, sitting
  • Manual dexterity to operate tools
  • Work safely at heights and in all weather conditions
  • Ability to see, hear, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly, and occasionally up to 100 lbs
