Ready to move your career forward? As a Technician at Penske, you’ll perform preventative maintenance and repairs of all levels on the newest and best maintained fleet of vehicles in the industry. You will help our customers keep their vehicles in shape and on the road.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Making sure vehicles are maintained and safe for our customers
  • Performing preventive maintenance services on truck and trailer equipment with little or no supervision and in a timely manner
  • Repairing and troubleshooting components such as engines, transmissions, differentials, turbochargers, fuel system components, etc.
  • Keeping your work area clean and safe
  • Using Penske’s tools and technologies to log, research and complete repairs, including basic vehicle diagnostics
  • Learning new skills through Penske’s technician training
  • Working on other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications:
  • At least 3 years of practical experience with vehicle maintenance required
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred
  • Experience in diagnosis/troubleshooting of major components (engines, transmissions, differentials), OEM training courses, ASE Certification, and 608/609 certifications (preferred)
  • Proficient with tools of the trade (diagnostics, hand tools, power tools)
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Teamwork ability
  • Willingness to work in non-climate-controlled conditions
  • Basic computer skills
  • Understanding and compliance with safety and maintenance policies
  • Regular, predictable, full attendance
  • Regulations compliance including DOT requirements, driver qualification, background checks, and drug screening
Physical Requirements:
  • Frequent movement, standing, walking, climbing, bending, sitting
  • Routine use of hands for handling tools and controls
  • Ability to work safely at heights and in all weather conditions
  • Visual and auditory ability to navigate the work environment
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and 100 lbs occasionally
Pay and Benefits:

Pay: $34.51/hr
