Main Responsibilities:
- Making sure vehicles are maintained and safe for our customers
- Performing preventive maintenance services on truck and trailer equipment with little or no supervision and in a timely manner
- Repairing and troubleshooting components such as engines, transmissions, differentials, turbochargers, fuel system components, etc.
- Keeping your work area clean and safe
- Using Penske’s tools and technologies to log, research and complete repairs, including basic vehicle diagnostics
- Learning new skills through Penske’s technician training
- Working on other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of practical experience with vehicle maintenance required
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred
- Experience in diagnosis/troubleshooting of major components (engines, transmissions, differentials), OEM training courses, ASE Certification, and 608/609 certifications (preferred)
- Proficient with tools of the trade (diagnostics, hand tools, power tools)
- Valid driver’s license required
- Problem-solving skills
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Teamwork ability
- Willingness to work in non-climate-controlled conditions
- Basic computer skills
- Understanding and compliance with safety and maintenance policies
- Regular, predictable, full attendance
- Regulations compliance including DOT requirements, driver qualification, background checks, and drug screening
Physical Requirements:
- Frequent movement, standing, walking, climbing, bending, sitting
- Routine use of hands for handling tools and controls
- Ability to work safely at heights and in all weather conditions
- Visual and auditory ability to navigate the work environment
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and 100 lbs occasionally
Pay and Benefits:
Pay: $34.51/hr
