Job summary

DATTCO in New Britain, CT is hiring a full-time Diesel Technician/Mechanic at our Coach and Tour Fleet Maintenance location. This role performs preventive maintenance and repairs on a variety of vehicles, with a schedule of 7am-3:30pm, Monday to Friday.

Requires 3+ years in automotive/truck/bus repair, valid CT driver's license, ability to obtain a DOT medical card, CDL eligibility, and ASE certifications encouraged. Competitive pay with benefits and training paths are offered.

Qualifications

• 3+ years training or experience in automotive, truck or bus repair.
• Dealership experience preferred.
• Valid CT driver's license.
• Ability to obtain a DOT medical card.
• Hold or be eligible to obtain a CDL license.
• Hold or be willing to work toward ASE certifications.
• English verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs scheduled preventive maintenance and service inspections on a variety of vehicles.
• Performs diagnostic and repair work on all types of vehicles.
• Completes required paperwork in regards to repair orders and parts usage.
• Makes road calls - this may require travel.
• Owns and maintains the proper hand tools to perform job functions.
• Follow orders of the shop foreman or other supervisor.
