Job summary

Madison Spring, Inc. is seeking a skilled mechanic to perform advanced mechanical tasks, assist with diagnostics, and maintain detailed service records. The role includes ruling out complex issues, conducting DOT inspections, and occasionally handling clutch or suspension work.

A quarterly bonus structure is in place and a full benefits package is offered. The position runs Mon-Fri 7am-5pm and pays between $80,000 and $110,000 per year, depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability in basic and advanced mechanic activities.
• CDL required; clean driving record.
• AC certification required.
• Fork lift certification required.
• Maintain personal tool inventory.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to use a tablet device for repairs and orders.
• Ability to read and interpret repair orders, manuals and electrical schematics.
• Ability to lift 75 lbs and walk 10,000 steps per day.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred; pass pre-employment and random drug tests, and background check.

Responsibilities

• Owns advanced mechanic activities (60%).

• Occasional clutch/suspension replacement and fix drivelines.
• Assist Lead Tech with diagnostics (25%).
• Support other Technicians with diagnostics as needed.
• Maintain job records of parts inventory and serviced vehicles (10%).
• Pickup and organize tools & equipment; sweep/clean floors; dispose of waste.

Accountabilities

• ADVANCED MECHANIC ACTIVITIES (60%)
• Repair multiple systems (cooling, oil, DPF).
• Perform major engine repair.
• Perform DOT inspections
• Occasional clutch/suspension replacement and fix drivelines.
• DIAGNOSTICS (25%)
• Assist Lead Tech with system and vehicle diagnostics.
• Support other Technicians as needed with diagnostics.
• RECORDS MAINTENANCE (10%)
• Maintain job records of parts inventory and serviced vehicles.
• SHOP CLEANING (5%)
• Pickup and organize tools & equipment.
• Sweep/clean floors after job completion.
• Dispose of waste/used products (oil, antifreeze, steel, etc.).

Salary Description

Required Competencies

• Demonstrated ability in mechanic activities (basic & advanced)

Preferred Competencies

• ASE certified/successful Diesel Technology completion
• Demonstrated experience with system and/or vehicle diagnostics
