Job summary

Allegiance Trucks in Newark, NJ is seeking a Diesel Technician to join our growing team. You will perform technical service on vehicles and equipment, including troubleshooting, electrical and diagnostic work, ensuring repairs meet quality standards.

The role requires 1–2 years of medium/heavy diesel experience, a valid driver's license and a full set of personal hand tools. We offer an industry-leading incentive plan, competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of medium/heavy diesel technician experience.
• Valid driver's license and full set of hand tools.
• Certificate programs in diesel/auto repair or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Detailed knowledge of commercial truck and engine repair.
• Ability to use a PC.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical and diagnostic service, troubleshoot trucks and engines.
• Read repair orders and carry out repairs on trucks, engines and components.
• Install injectors, pistons, bearings, transmissions and other parts.
• Inspect guards and safety devices; adjust as needed.
• Lubricate parts and test drive after repairs to verify quality.
• Inform Service staff when additional work is required.
• Maintain neat, safe work environment; follow safety procedures.
• Complete other projects as assigned.
