Job summary

Allegiance Trucks seeks a Diesel Technician to provide technical service on trucks and equipment, performing troubleshooting, electrical, and diagnostic work. You will read repair orders and complete repairs on engines and components, install major parts, and ensure safety protocols are followed in a busy shop.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of diesel technician experience, possesses a full set of tools, and relevant diesel/auto certifications; a valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years minimum work experience as a Medium and/or Heavy Diesel Technician.
• Must possess a full set of personal hand tools.
• Completed diesel/automotive certificate programs or equivalent hands-on experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical service on vehicles and equipment including troubleshooting, electrical and diagnostic services.
• Read Repair Orders and perform repair of all trucks, engines and components.
• Install major components and perform repairs as specified (injectors, pistons, liners, etc.).
• Examine protective guards, loose bolts, and safety devices on trucks, and adjust as needed.
• Lubricate moving parts and drive repaired vehicle to verify conformance to specifications.
• Advise the Service staff if additional repair work is necessary.
• Tag all return warranty parts.
• Maintain a neat, orderly, and safe work environment, and handle company tools properly.
• Follow safe work practices and seek assistance when necessary.
• Other projects/initiatives as assigned
