Job summary

Allegiance Trucks is seeking a Diesel Technician to provide service on trucks and equipment, including troubleshooting, electrical and diagnostic tasks. You will read repair orders and perform detailed repairs on engines and components, install key parts, and ensure safety and quality through road tests and inspections.

The role requires 1–2 years of diesel technician experience, a valid driver’s license, and a complete tool set.

Qualifications

• Positive attitude and mechanical aptitude are essential.
• Brand experience with International, Isuzu, Ford, Cummins, Detroit Diesel, CAT, Allison or other major brands is encouraged.
• Minimum 1–2 years as a Medium/Heavy Diesel Technician.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Must possess a full set of personal hand tools.
• Must have knowledge of commercial truck and engine repair.
• Completion of diesel/auto certificate programs or equivalent hands-on experience preferred.
• Able to use a PC and basic applications.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical service on vehicles and equipment including troubleshooting, electrical and diagnostic services.
• Read Repair Orders and perform general and detailed repair of trucks, engines and components.
• Install injectors, pistons, liners, cam shafts, cylinder heads, bearings, oil pans, clutches, brakes, transmissions and other parts.
• Inspect guards, bolts and safety devices and adjust as needed.
• Lubricate moving parts and road-test repaired vehicles to verify conformance with specs.
• Inform Service staff if additional repairs are needed.
• Tag all return warranty parts.
• Maintain a neat, orderly, and safe work environment; handle company tools properly.
• Follow safety procedures and use protective equipment.
