Job summary

Sunstate Equipment Co. is hiring a Technician III in Greensboro, NC. Typical schedule is Monday–Friday, 7AM–5PM with overtime eligible. Pay starts at $32/hr and can exceed $37/hr depending on experience, plus quarterly bonus incentives.

Position requires at least 3 years of diesel mechanic experience on heavy construction equipment or rental fleets, with expertise in hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, and engine repairs, including Tier 4 and aftertreatment systems. Tools and safety come first.

Qualifications

Minimum of 3 years of experience as a diesel mechanic on heavy construction equipment or rental fleet.
Advanced repairs of hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, and diesel/gas engines.
Experience with Tier 4 engines and aftertreatment systems (DPF, SCR, DEF, EGR).
Proficient in preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and major repairs.
Must have own tools for equipment repairs.

Responsibilities

Perform repairs on gas and diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and drivetrains on equipment and trucks.
Troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctions; repair and test equipment.
Perform basic welding (MIG/SMAW).
Inspect, service, and test equipment to manufacturer specs.
Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records.
