Job summary

Sunstate Equipment Co. is hiring a Technician III in Orlando, FL. The role focuses on diagnosing and repairing diesel and gas engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems on heavy equipment and rental fleet.

You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and complete routine service with an emphasis on safety and efficiency. The position offers a weekly pay cycle, full benefits after a short period, and opportunities to work with a diverse fleet while adhering to Sunstate safety

Qualifications

Minimum of 3 years of diesel mechanic experience with heavy equipment or rental fleet.
Advanced repairs of hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, and diesel/gas engines on construction equipment and delivery fleet.
Experience with Tier 4 engines and DPF, SCR, DEF, and EGR aftertreatment systems preferred.
Extensive experience with preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnosing, and heavy equipment repairs.

Responsibilities

Perform minor and major repairs on gas and diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and drivetrains.
Troubleshoot/diagnose malfunctions and repair equipment.
Perform novice welding repairs (MIG & SMAW).
Inspect, service, and test equipment to manufacturer specifications.
Prepare/maintain accurate records on maintenance and repairs including warranty records.
