Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and 1-2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience (preferred).
• Valid driver’s license required.
• The ability to solve problems and use tools effectively.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and ensure vehicles are safe for customers.
• Log, research and complete repairs using Penske tools and technologies, including basic diagnostics.
• Perform preventative maintenance such as tire rotation and lubrication; some electrical and cooling system work on gas and diesel engines.
• Learn new skills through Penske’s technician training and hands-on coaching with your supervisor.
• Handle other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
