Penske Truck Leasing Co., L.P. in Greer, SC is seeking an experienced Technician II to perform preventative maintenance and repairs on a diverse fleet. You’ll work independently on major and minor repairs, run road tests, mentor new technicians, and learn cutting-edge maintenance processes.

Qualifications

• 3 years of practical experience with vehicle maintenance required
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred
• Specialized training and experience in diagnosis/troubleshooting of major components, OEM training courses, ASE Certification, and 608/609 certifications (preferred)
• Experienced using tools of the trade (including diagnostic equipment, hand tools, and power tools)
• Valid driver’s license required
• The ability to solve problems
• Excellent customer service skills and communication skills
• The ability to work well as part of a team
• The associate must comply with Penske safety and maintenance policies including DOT/OSHA requirements

Responsibilities

• Making sure vehicles are maintained and safe for customers
• Performing preventive maintenance services on truck and trailer equipment with minimal supervision
• Repairing and troubleshooting major components (engines, transmissions, differentials, turbochargers)
• Keeping work area clean and safe
• Using Penske tools and technologies to log, research and complete repairs including basic diagnostics
• Learning new skills through Penske’s technician training
• Contributing to other projects as assigned by supervisor
