Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing in Ladson, SC is hiring a Technician to perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on a diverse fleet. You’ll use Penske’s diagnostic tools and training programs to keep vehicles safe and on the road, while learning from experienced supervisors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and 1–2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to use Penske tools and technologies.

Responsibilities

• Make sure vehicles are maintained and safe for customers.
• Use Penske tools and technologies to log, research and complete repairs, including basic diagnostics.
• Perform preventative maintenance such as tire rotation and lubrication; handle electrical and cooling system tasks on gas/diesel engines.
• Partner with your manager to learn new skills through Penske’s technician training and hands-on coaching.
• Support other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor.
