Job summary

Port City Concrete is seeking a Diesel Technician II to keep our fleet and heavy equipment operating at peak performance. This role offers a $3,000 sign-on bonus and the chance to mentor newer technicians in a fast-paced, safety-driven environment.

You will diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel systems, coordinate with the Shop Foreman, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives. A CDL is preferred but not required, with competitive benefits and career growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Auto or diesel technology diploma is a plus but not required.
• At least 4 years of hands-on maintenance or mechanical experience.
• ASE Certifications are a bonus.
• CDL Class A or B preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Tire maintenance to manufacturer specs—ensuring safety and reliability on every job.
• Oil and filter service for trucks and equipment with precision changes.
• Electrical repairs from lights to switches and relay troubleshooting.
• Mechanical repairs to diagnose and fix fleet issues for smooth operations.
• System testing of power and hydraulic systems to verify performance.
• Lubrication services to keep wear items properly greased.
• Axle, bearing, and drive shaft repairs with proper tolerances.
• Safety compliance and teamwork with the shop foreman and peers.
