Job summary

Cummins Inc. in Mobile, AL is seeking a Diesel Technician Level II to perform engine repairs, troubleshooting and rebuilds in a service shop. A $5000 sign-on bonus is offered. You will conduct preventative maintenance, document work, and support diagnostics using Cummins tools while adhering to health, safety and environmental policies.

This role requires CDL preferred and Cummins diagnostic/repair experience with a focus on quality, safety, and timely service delivery.

Qualifications

• Apprentice Trained Engine Technician preferred.
• Vocational diploma in a relevant technical field.
• CDL preferred.
• Cummins diagnostic/repair experience required.
• Locally valid driving permit preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete troubleshooting, repairs and rebuilds on engine products and other equipment in a service shop.
• Perform preventative maintenance based on assessment of engines and using diagnostic software.
• Document required work data, time sheets and warranty claims in company systems.
• Disassemble, inspect, and reassemble engines or engine components; identify parts and tools.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow health and safety rules.
