Job summary

FleetPride is seeking a Diesel Technician III in Pleasant Valley, NY to diagnose and repair heavy-duty trucks and trailers, from routine PMs to complex engine and aftertreatment work.

This advanced-level position offers a Monday–Friday day shift, competitive pay up to $40/hour, monthly bonuses, and opportunities for growth with FleetPride Tech University.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of heavy-duty truck/trailer repair experience preferred.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently; willingness to coach and assist other technicians.
• Strong communication skills with managers, service writers, customers, and teammates.
• Own tools and toolbox; CDL is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance & DOT inspections.
• Repair air brake systems.
• Conduct electrical diagnostics & schematics.
• Work on starting & charging systems.
• Maintain wheel ends, steering & suspension.
• Repair cooling systems and A/C diagnostics.
• Address drivetrain components and transmissions.
• Handle differentials and aftertreatment systems.
• Perform engine repairs and general troubleshooting.

What You'll Be Doing:

As a Diesel Technician III, you'll work on a wide variety of heavy-duty trucks and trailers, including:

• Preventative maintenance & DOT inspections.
• Air brake systems.
• Electrical diagnostics & schematics.
• Starting & charging systems.
• Wheel ends, steering & suspension.
• Cooling systems.
• A/C diagnostics & repairs.
• Drivetrain components.
• Transmissions & clutches.
• Differentials.
• Aftertreatment systems.
• Upper & lower engine repairs.
• Diagnostic troubleshooting.And everything in between!

You'll also have the opportunity to mentor and assist other technicians and help maintain FleetPride's high standards for safety and quality.

What We're Looking For:

• 5+ years of heavy-duty truck/trailer repair experience preferred.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently.Willingness to coach and assist other technicians.Strong communication skills with managers, service writers, customers, and teammates.Own tools and toolbox.Valid driver's license.CDL is a plus, but not required.
• Commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
