Texas A&M University Transportation Services seeks a Diesel Technician I to perform skilled maintenance on heavy‑duty vehicles. Uniforms and safety gear are provided; tools are supplied. The hourly start wage is $25.20.

Work hours: Mon–Fri 1:00pm–10:00pm in Fall/Spring; 8:00am–5:00pm in Summer. Applicants must have a valid driver’s license and be able to obtain a Texas Class B license within 60 days. Preferred candidates may have auto/diesel trade schooling and ASE or OEM certifications.

Formación

• High school graduation or equivalent.
• Two years of experience in repair and maintenance of heavy‑duty vehicles or equipment.

Responsabilidades

• Repair: perform skilled maintenance and repair on heavy-duty vehicles and equipment, replace parts and components.
• Preventative Maintenance: perform inspections and update service orders.
• Administration: keep shop area clean and use systems to track fleet maintenance.
• Diagnostics: use diagnostic tools to identify engine and electrical faults.
• Driving: assist by driving DOT‑regulated vehicles as needed.
