Job summary

First Student in Harmony, PA is hiring a Diesel Technician I. The role offers an hourly wage of $28.00–$34.00, full-time hours Monday through Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm, and a $5,000 hiring bonus.

The position includes company-paid ASE testing and CDL Class B training, with a comprehensive benefits package. As a Diesel Technician, you will maintain and repair school buses to ensure safety and reliability, perform preventive maintenance, and complete work orders accurately.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of diesel or automotive maintenance and repair experience.
• Vehicle diagnostics and problem-solving skills.
• Strong computer skills for diagnostics and reporting.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• CDL Class B training or ability to obtain within 60 days of employment (company paid).
• PA state inspection license or willingness to obtain license.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair school buses to ensure safety and reliability.
• Diagnose and perform all phases of vehicle maintenance including brakes, engine tune-ups, suspensions, drive-trains, and transmissions.
• Perform preventive maintenance and safety inspections.
• Complete work orders accurately.
• Assist with mobile emergency repair services when needed.
