Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing/Transportation Solutions is seeking an entry-level Diesel Technician/Mechanic III in Albuquerque, NM. You will perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on a modern, well-maintained fleet to keep customers on the road.

You will be trained with Penske’s technician certification program and work with experienced mentors to learn diagnostics and maintenance using advanced tools. This is a stable career with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Basic mechanical aptitude and 1-2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience (preferred).
• Excellent customer service skills and communication skills.
• The ability to work well as part of a team and outside.

Responsibilities

• Make sure vehicles are maintained and safe for customers.
• Log, research and complete repairs using Penske’s tools and technologies, including basic diagnostics.
• Perform preventative maintenance such as tire rotation and lubrication on gas and diesel vehicles.
• Learn new skills through Penske’s technician training and hands-on coaching.
• Work on other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor.
