Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred
• Basic mechanical aptitude and 1–2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience (preferred)
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to solve problems and comfortable using tools
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Team player and able to work outside
• Basic computer skills
• Able to adhere to Penske safety and maintenance policies

Responsibilities

• Maintains and ensures vehicles are safe for customers
• Uses Penske tools/technologies to log, research and complete repairs including basic diagnostics
• Performs preventive maintenance and component lubrication/replacement on gas and diesel engines
• Partner with manager to learn new skills via technician training and hands-on coaching
• Works on other projects as assigned by supervisor
