Job summary

Swift Transportation is hiring a Diesel Mechanic/Technician in Florida. The position offers hourly pay from $25 to $34 with overtime rates of $37.50 to $45 when available, and a Monday–Friday shift from 7:30am to 6:00pm. Comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities are provided.

Join a large, well-established fleet and receive training with OEMs like Freightliner, International, Volvo, Cummins, and Detroit. Prior experience in vehicle maintenance and strong diagnostic skills are valued.

Qualifications

• High School or combination of training and/or experience required.
• Knowledge of vehicle systems and basic maintenance preferred.
• Ability to read and understand repair manuals and repair orders.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance inspections and repairs on company equipment (tractors, trailers, reefer units).
• Inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose and perform repairs as needed.
• Disassemble/reassemble heavy truck and trailer components.
• Perform tire maintenance and related tasks.
