Job summary

M&K Truck Centers in Waterloo, IA is hiring Diesel Technicians to diagnose, maintain and repair heavy-duty trucks (Mack, Volvo, and others). This role welcomes entry-level through master technicians and offers paid training and OEM certifications.

You will work with service advisors to document repairs and deliver high-quality service in a team environment. A high school diploma or GED is required; diesel tech training is preferred but not required; CDL is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required/preferred.
• Diesel technician training or tech school preferred but not required.
• Minimum 18 months diesel repair or mechanical experience (entry-level acceptable).
• CDL – preferred, not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnosis, troubleshooting, and repair on diesel trucks (Mack, Volvo, and other makes).
• Complete preventive maintenance and inspections on heavy-duty trucks.
• Repair and service brake systems, suspension, electrical, and emissions systems.
• Accurately document all repairs, parts, and labor.
• Work closely with service advisors and service managers.
• Deliver high-quality, efficient repairs while maintaining productivity.
• Provide excellent customer-focused service.
