Penske Truck Leasing is seeking a skilled Technician in Medford, OR to perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on a diverse fleet. You will log and diagnose using Penske tools, rotate tires, and assist with electrical and cooling system tasks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and 1-2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience (preferred).
• Valid driver's license required.
• Ability to solve problems and comfort using tools.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work well as part of a team and outdoors.
• Basic computer skills.
• Must follow Penske instructions and policies.
• DOT/OSHA safety adherence and maintenance policies required.
• Regular, predictable, full attendance essential.
• DOT driver qualification file and screenings may apply; CDL holders subject to DOT drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and ensure vehicle safety for customers.
• Use Penske tools to log, research and complete repairs, including diagnostics.
• Perform preventative maintenance like tire rotation and lubrication; some electrical and cooling system work on gas/diesel engines.
• Collaborate with manager to learn new skills through Pennke’s training and hands-on coaching.
• Handle additional projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor.
