Job summary

Penske is hiring a Technician in Eau Claire, WI. You will perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs on a wide range of fleet vehicles, helping customers stay safe on the road.

You’ll learn Penske’s maintenance processes and take part in a certified training program, with opportunities for growth and a supportive team.

Starting pay is $23.00 per hour, with second and third shift premiums; excellent benefits and reliable career path.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and 1-2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience (preferred).
• Valid driver’s license; ability to use tools and follow safety policies.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills; able to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain vehicles to ensure safety for customers.
• Use Penske tools to log, research and complete repairs, including basic vehicle diagnostics.
• Perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on gas and diesel engine vehicles.
• Learn new skills through Penske training and hands-on coaching.
• Collaborate with supervisor on other tasks as assigned.
