Job summary

Penske is seeking a mechanically inclined Technician at our Rothschild, WI location. You will perform preventative maintenance, minor repairs, and basic diagnostics on a diverse fleet, using Penske tools and training to ensure safety and reliability for customers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred
• Basic mechanical aptitude and 1-2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience (preferred)
• Valid driver’s license
• The ability to solve problems and comfort using tools
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work well as part of a team and outside
• Basic computer skills
• Must understand and comply with Penske safety policies and instructions
• Willingness to pass background checks, drug screen and DOT requirements
• Possible local travel for training

Responsibilities

• Making sure vehicles are maintained and safe for customers
• Using Penske tools and technologies to log, research and complete repairs
• Performing preventative maintenance and some electrical/cooling system work on gas/diesel vehicles
• Learning new skills through Penske technician training and coaching
• Taking on other projects as assigned by supervisor
