Job summary

Love's Travel Stops is seeking a Diesel Technician to diagnose and repair light mechanical issues, perform preventative maintenance, and assist customers and drivers. The role requires handling tools and equipment safely, moving heavy parts, and working in various temperatures on a rotating day/night schedule.

The position includes company-paid DOT medical card option and opportunities for career development.

Qualifications

• Experience with diesel engines and preventative maintenance is beneficial.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and interact with customers.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair light mechanical issues (wheel-end assemblies, electrical systems, suspensions, A/C, engine components).
• Assist customers with roadside services.
• Provide preventative maintenance services.
• Move/lift up to 75+ pounds in close quarters.
• Work in varying temperatures.
• Prioritize safety and customer satisfaction per company policies.
• Participate in a rotating day/night schedule.
• Possess ability to obtain a medical card through the DOT (paid by Love's).
