Love’s Travel Stops is seeking a Diesel Technician to diagnose and repair light mechanical issues, assist with roadside services, and perform preventative maintenance. You’ll lift heavy items, work in varied temperatures, and follow safety policies to ensure customer satisfaction.

The role includes a rotating day/night schedule and potential equipment handling responsibilities in a fast-paced environment at Love’s Travel Stops locations.

Qualifications

• Troubleshoot and repair light mechanical issues including wheel-end assemblies, electrical systems, suspensions, A/C, or engine components.
• Ability to move, lift 75+ pounds in close quarters.
• Ability to obtain a medical card through the Department of Transportation (paid by Love’s).
• Willingness to work in various temperatures and follow safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair light mechanical issues as part of daily shop duties.
• Assist customers with roadside services and vehicle-related needs.
• Provide preventative maintenance services on diesel trucks and trailers.
• Move, lift 75+ pounds in confined spaces as required by tasks.
• Work in various temperatures and environments.
• Adhere to company safety policies and procedures to ensure client and colleague safety.
• Rotate between day and night shifts as needed by scheduling requirements.
