Job summary

Love's Travel Stops is seeking a Diesel Technician to keep our fast-paced service bays running smoothly. You will troubleshoot and repair light mechanical issues, assist drivers with roadside services, and perform preventive maintenance to keep trucks on the road.

This role requires the ability to lift 75+ pounds, work in varying temperatures, and a rotating day/night schedule. You must be able to obtain a DOT medical card; Love's covers related costs.

Qualifications

• Must be able to troubleshoot and repair light mechanical issues on trucks and equipment.
• Ability to lift 75+ pounds and work in varying temperatures.
• Ability to obtain a DOT medical card (paid by Love's).

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair light mechanical issues including wheel-end assemblies, electrical systems, suspensions, A/C, or engine components.
• Assist customers with roadside services.
• Provide preventative maintenance services.
• Move and lift 75+ pounds in close quarters and work in various temperatures.
• Prioritize customer safety and satisfaction in accordance with company policies.
• Work a rotating schedule that alternates between day and night as needed.
• Ability to obtain a medical card through the Department of Transportation (paid by Love’s).
