Job summary

Love’s Travel Stops is seeking a Diesel Technician to diagnose and repair light mechanical systems, perform preventative maintenance, and assist roadside services in a fast-paced environment. You’ll interact with customers and drivers to keep travels smooth and safe.

Expect lifting up to 75 pounds, exposure to varying temperatures, and a rotating day/night schedule. Love’s offers tuition assistance, PTO, 401(k) with 100% match up to 5%, and comprehensive health coverage after 30 days.

Qualifications

• Willingness to perform light mechanical repairs and troubleshooting.
• Ability to lift 75+ pounds and work in various temperatures.
• Ability to pass DOT medical card requirements (Love’s pays).

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair light mechanical issues including wheel-end, electrical, suspension, A/C, or engine components.
• Assist customers with roadside services and vehicle care.
• Provide preventative maintenance services.
• Move heavy items in limited spaces and lift 75+ pounds as needed.
• Prioritize customer safety and satisfaction per Love’s safety policies.
• Work a rotating schedule with day and night shifts.
