Job summary

Love's Travel Stops is seeking a Diesel Technician in Washington to diagnose and repair light mechanical issues, assist with roadside services, and perform preventative maintenance. You will work in a fast-paced environment serving customers and drivers, with emphasis on safety and customer satisfaction.

The role requires physical ability to lift 75+ pounds, a willingness to rotate day/night shifts, and eligibility to obtain a DOT medical card (paid by Love’s).

Qualifications

• Troubleshoot and repair light mechanical issues (wheel-end assemblies, electrical systems, suspensions, A/C, engine components)
• Assist customers with roadside services
• Provide preventative maintenance services
• Ability to lift 75+ pounds in close quarters; work in various temperatures
• Adhere to safety policies and procedures; prioritize customer safety and satisfaction
• Rotating day/night shifts as needed
• DOT medical card eligibility (paid by Love’s)

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair light mechanical issues that may include wheel-end assemblies, electrical systems, suspensions, A/C, or engine components
• Assist customers with roadside services
• Provide preventative maintenance services
• Ability to move, lift 75+ pounds working in close quarters. Ability to work in various temperatures.
• Always put the safety and satisfaction of your customers first, complying with company safety policies & procedures.
• Work a rotating schedule that alternates between day and night as needed.
• Ability to obtain a medical card through the Department of Transportation. (paid by Love’s)
