Job summary

Wind River Environmental is seeking experienced Diesel Technicians to maintain our demanding fleet of vacuum and specialty equipment across the region.

You will diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel engines and hydraulic systems, respond to road calls, and document work using Fleetio.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in diesel, fleet, or heavy equipment maintenance.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities.
• Experience with medium/heavy‑duty trucks and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
• Welding and fabrication experience is a plus.
• CDL preferred but not required.
• Experience with fleet maintenance software preferred.
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair diesel engines, brakes, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance on medium/heavy‑duty trucks and equipment.
• Troubleshoot issues and prioritize repairs to keep equipment running.
• Respond to road calls and breakdowns as needed.
• Coordinate parts orders and outside vendor repairs.
• Document repairs using Fleetio.
• Support fleet reliability and safety initiatives.
• Maintain compliance with DOT, OSHA, EPA, and company safety standards.
