Rush Enterprises Inc. is seeking a Diesel Technician to service trucks and equipment with attention to safety and quality. Responsibilities include diagnosing, repairing, and overhauling diesel engines and related components, installing parts, and reading job orders for effective work planning.

The position emphasizes customer service, continuous learning, and adherence to safety standards. A high school diploma or GED and 5 years of Class 7 & 8 experience are required; CDL/FMVSS options are

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 5 years’ experience as a Class 7 & 8 technician in a dealership or related truck service facility.
• Valid driver license with insurability, CDL and FMVSS medical card preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical service to vehicles and equipment.
• Perform general and detailed repair of trucks, engines, and components.
• Overhaul gas or diesel engines.
• Install injectors, pistons, liners, cam shafts, bearings, oil pans, clutches, and transmissions.
• Read job orders and diagnose malfunctions to plan work procedures.
• Ensure safety by checking guards, bolts, and safety devices; adjust as needed.
• Lubricate parts and road-test to verify conformance.
