Interstate Diesel of Idaho is seeking a Diesel Technician to perform superior quality repairs on light and medium duty diesel vehicles in a full-service shop. The role includes reporting on service orders and ensuring safety and workmanship standards.

The ideal candidate has diesel tech training, 2+ years of experience, toolset, and a valid CDL or willingness to obtain one within 6 months. Family-owned shop with a broad customer base and modern shop practices.

Qualifications

• Trade School Diploma or certification in Diesel technology.
• Working knowledge of truck repair and maintenance with a focus on diesel powered vehicles.
• Two years of verifiable previous experience.
• Ability to operate power tools, hand tools, and other equipment safely.
• Working knowledge of PC and laptop computers.
• Commercial Driver's License with good driving record, or willingness to get one within 6 months.
• ASE and R134 Certifications or willingness to obtain.
• Must have full set of tools, references, and provable experience.

Responsabilités

• Maintains positive attitude and safety in the shop.
• Performs repairs on diesel vehicles to high workmanship standards.
• Maintains accurate work order records and time clocked.
• Orders parts and evaluates reusability and cause of failure.
• Communicates unresolved issues to supervisor for further research.
• Aids and trains apprentice shop and field technicians as directed by supervisor.
