Job summary

ADP, Inc. is seeking an experienced Diesel / Trailer Mechanic for our Yellowstone Hwy truck shop in Idaho Falls. The role involves repairs and maintenance on our trucking fleet, including diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, and hydraulic systems.

You will run diagnostics, perform preventative maintenance, and keep meticulous service records. Ideal candidates have advanced knowledge of diesel components, strong tooling proficiency, and excellent communication and organizational skills to

Qualifications

Advanced knowledge of diesel engine components.
Proficiency with maintenance and repair tools.
Good interpersonal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational abilities.
Ability to work well with others in a high-pressure environment.
Ability to handle time-sensitive deadlines.

Responsibilities

Follow direction of supervisor
Self-starter and work well independently
Running diagnostic tests on vehicles
Replacing vehicle engines, steering mechanisms, transmissions, and braking systems
Performing preventative maintenance
Maintaining detailed records of serviced vehicles
Adhering to an inspection procedure checklist
Maintaining a parts inventory
Ensuring the cleanliness of the shop
Regular and consistent attendance
