Job summary

Rush Truck Leasing is seeking a Diesel Technician in Ohio to service customers, perform diagnostics and repairs on trucks and engines, and ensure safety and quality standards are met. The role involves installing components, reading job orders, and maintaining customer relationships.

Responsibilities include maintenance, disassembly/assembly, parts replacement, and staying updated with factory bulletins. A strong focus on safety and reliability aligns with our premier transportation solutions

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 7 years’ experience as a Class 7 & 8 technician in a dealership or truck service facility.
• Must possess a current and valid driver license with a driving record meeting insurability guidelines.
• Current and valid CDL and Medical card as required by FMVSS preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical service to vehicles and equipment.
• Perform general and detailed repair of all trucks, engines and components.
• Overhaul gas or diesel engines.
• Install injectors, pistons, liners, cam shafts, cylinder heads, bearings, oil pans, etc.
• Read job orders and observe vehicle operation to plan work procedures.
• Inspect guards, bolts, and safety devices and adjust as needed.
• Lubricate moving parts and drive vehicle to verify conformance to specs.
• Tag warranty parts and returns to warranty clerk.
• Attend training classes and keep up with factory bulletins.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers to increase satisfaction.
