Job summary

Cummins is seeking a Diesel Technician / Mechanic in Kearny, NJ to join our Distribution team. You will diagnose, repair, and overhaul engine systems in a fast-paced shop, maintaining records and adhering to safety policies.

Training will occur with early shifts, followed by a later mid-shift as you gain experience. You must complete complex repairs, operate diagnostic software, and continually update certifications while keeping your own tools ready for use.

Qualifications

• Completes complex internal engine repairs.
• Performs engine overhauls unassisted.
• Detailed understanding of aftertreatment system and components.
• Proficient experience with engine diagnostic software.

Responsibilities

• Complete repairs on engine products in a service shop.
• Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools.
• Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles.
• Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies.
• Ongoing development/certifications on Cummins products.
• Maintain own tools.
