I. General Job Description

This position is responsible for diagnosing and repairing all vehicles and equipment serviced by the Company’s facilities. Service Technicians are expected to perform with the highest level of professional competence regarding work quality, product knowledge, and customer service.

II. Minimum Job Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• High school graduate or GED.
• Minimum tool requirements (see below).
• Minimum of 1-2 years of direct mechanic experience on heavy trucks or equipment, or a combination of experience plus vocational, trade, or technical school certification.

III. Desired Job Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED.
• Minimum of 4 years of mechanic experience on heavy trucks or equipment.
• Ability to perform vehicle lubrication systems and DOT safety inspections.
• Dependable team player with a positive attitude.

IV. Mental Capability Requirements

• Comprehension: Ability to understand complex problems, collaborate, and explore solutions.
• Organization: Ability to organize thoughts into understandable terms.
• Reasoning & Decision Making: Ability to make decisions with moderate impact.

V. Physical Demands and Work Environment

The physical demands include handling, reaching, talking, standing, walking, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and occasional sitting. Employees must lift up to 65 pounds regularly. Vision abilities required include peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment. Employees are exposed to moving parts, electrical hazards, weather conditions, noise, and chemicals, with safety measures in place.
