Capital Ford of Lillington is seeking a skilled Automotive Diesel Technician to join our service team. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel-powered vehicles, using diagnostic tools to identify issues and performing routine maintenance.

Qualifications

• Experience as Automotive Diesel Technician with focus on diesel repairs.
• In-depth knowledge of diesel engine systems, diagnostics and repair techniques.
• Experience with transmissions, exhaust systems and hydraulic systems.
• Able to operate diagnostic and repair equipment.
• ASE Diesel certs are highly desirable.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel-powered vehicles and equipment.
• Use diagnostic tools to identify issues in diesel engines and related systems.
• Perform routine maintenance: oil changes, filter replacements, fluids.
• Inspect, repair, and rebuild transmissions in diesel vehicles.
• Repair exhaust components including mufflers and catalytic converters.
• Diagnose and repair hydraulic systems in diesel vehicles and heavy equipment.
• Coordinate with service advisors on options and timelines.
• Follow safety protocols and dealership procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
