Job summary

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of service experience on heavy equipment, strong communication, and the ability to lift 75 lbs. A high school diploma or GED is required, with an associate degree preferred. This is a full-time, non-exempt position.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience performing service repairs; meeting performance metrics preferred.
• Experience with mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems on heavy equipment.
• Demonstrated ability to use diagnostic tools and service software.
• Ability to lift at least 75 lbs and work in a team environment.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostics and repairs on John Deere equipment and technology.
• Mentors Service Technician Trainees and Service Technicians.
• Documents diagnostics and repairs thoroughly in work orders and submits information on time.
• May participate in customer clinics and safety trainings.
• Operates and maintains tools, vehicles and equipment for job responsibilities.
• Maintains a clean, neat work area and follows safety rules.
