Job summary

United Ag & Turf seeks a skilled technician to diagnose and repair John Deere equipment across our dealership network. You will mentor trainees and technicians, manage billable time, and ensure thorough documentation of all work orders and repairs.

The role requires handling tools and equipment, adhering to safety standards, and staying current with John Deere products. Strong teamwork and communication are essential to support multiple departments.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required; Associates degree preferred.
• Experience performing service repairs on John Deere equipment and technology.
• Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems on off-road/heavy equipment.
• Experience with basic computer functions; familiar with diagnostic tools to support service work.
• Experience working in a team environment and communicating effectively, both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostics and repairs on John Deere equipment and technology.
• Mentors Service Technician Trainees and Service Technicians.
• Accountable for billable time and assigned work orders.
• Documents diagnostics and repairs thoroughly and submits information on time.
• Participates in Service EDUCATE training for skill development.
• Operates and maintains vehicles, tools and equipment required for job responsibilities.
• Keeps a clean, safe, orderly work area and follows safety rules.
