Ballard Truck Center is seeking a Diesel Technician to perform tractor and trailer repairs, diagnostics, and rebuilds following SOPs. The role emphasizes safety, preventive maintenance, and accurate documentation.

Candidates should bring 3+ years of relevant experience, excellent communication skills, and basic tools. The position is based at Ballard Truck Center, northeast region service facility, offering competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Pass a background check and drug test.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have at least 3 years relevant experience.
• Excellent communication skills and be willing to work as part of a team.
• Have at least basic computer skills.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs or more.
• Own necessary basic tools.

Responsibilities

• Follow workplace and vehicle safety procedures consistently.
• Perform Preventive Maintenance such as lube, filters, inspection, and cleanliness.
• Repair or replace basic engine components and electrics (starter/alternator/battery).
• Diagnose and repair brake systems and related components.
• Inspect and replace drive-line components, transmissions, and clutches (R&R).
• Conduct valve and injector adjustments and basic welding/cutting as needed.
• Communicate status updates and repair decisions to internal customers.
• Complete all franchise mandated training (online and on-site).
