Job summary

Ballard Truck Center in Manchester, NH is seeking a Diesel Technician to perform tractor and trailer repairs, diagnostics, and replacements in line with SOPs. The role covers preventive maintenance, electrical work, engine components, brakes, transmissions, and steering, with emphasis on safety and quality.

Ideal candidates will have 3+ years of experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, strong communication skills, basic computer skills, and own basic tools.

Qualifications

• Must have 3+ years relevant experience.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• HS Diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check and drug test required.
• Able to lift 50 lbs or more.
• Own necessary basic tools.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety procedures and SOPs while performing repairs.
• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on tractors and trailers.
• Repair or replace engine components, brakes, electrical starters and alternators.
• Diagnose via diagnostic computers and document work performed.
• Communicate status and timelines to internal customers.
• Accurately handle paperwork and follow housekeeping standards.
