Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in Manassas, VA is hiring a Mid-Level Diesel Technician to service heavy‑duty vehicles with state‑of‑the‑art diagnostics. You will perform preventive maintenance and repairs, diagnose issues, and communicate with drivers to determine problems.

The role offers a Monday–Friday schedule, first shift 7:00 am – 3:30 pm, with weekly pay and a comprehensive benefits package after 30 days, plus various bonuses and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Vocational or technical certifications preferred.
• Experience with heavy-duty diesel engines is required.
• Ability to perform routine preventive maintenance.
• Valid CDL-A preferred or ability to obtain CDL within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties.
• Conducts standard vehicle maintenance and inspections.
• Diagnoses mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic equipment.
• Identifies root causes and performs repairs as required.
• Works with customers/drivers to determine the nature of the issue.
