Job summary

Rechtien International Trucks in Ft. Myers is seeking experienced diesel technicians to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair International medium to heavy-duty trucks. You will work per dealership and factory standards, with focus on accuracy, safety, and teamwork.

The role requires at least one year of medium/heavy-duty truck experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to pass pre-employment screenings. CDL is required for road tests and compliance with regulations is essential.

Qualifications

• Pre-employment drug screening and physical examination.
• Must possess a current and valid driver’s license with insurability.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with superior customer service.
• Minimum of one year of technical experience in the medium-/heavy-duty truck industry.
• Physically capable of performing the duties of technician per dealer requirements.
• Ability to produce quality work.

Responsibilities

• Perform work as outlined on a repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
• Observe and record malfunctions and perform repairs as directed by a supervisor.
• Complete and assist other technicians on major repairs.
• Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts.
• Document all work performed and recommended on the repair order.
• Road test vehicles as required; CDL license required for this task.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Work effectively in a team environment.
• Comply with all federal, state, and local regulations affecting service operations (hazardous waste disposal, OSHA, EPA).
• Demonstrate strong work ethic to ensure each job is done efficiently and completely.
• Perform other duties as requested by Manager.
