Job summary

Casella Waste is seeking a Diesel Technician to maintain diesel equipment, perform inspections and preventive maintenance, and repair deficiencies to ensure safety and customer service standards. The role includes advancing through Career Pathways with regular merit increases.

Responsibilities include following safety policies, performing maintenance tasks, troubleshooting, and maintaining comprehensive records of all work.

Qualifications

• Must have strong safety awareness and adhere to policies.
• Ability to diagnose and repair diesel equipment using standard testing procedures.
• Experience with preventative maintenance and inspections is required.

Responsibilities

• Performs maintenance tasks based on inspections in a timely manner or as directed by maintenance manager.
• Maintains diesel equipment operation by completing inspections and preventative maintenance.
• Troubleshoots reported problems and resolves them promptly.
• Performs accurate lockout/tagout procedures.
• Runs diagnostic tests on vehicles and analyzes results to solve problems.
• Maintains records for all work and procedures.
