Job summary
Casella Waste Systems is seeking a Diesel Technician to maintain diesel equipment, perform inspections, and complete preventive maintenance while ensuring safety and reliability. You will troubleshoot issues, perform diagnostics, and document all work performed to support operations.
The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and at least 1 year of experience with trucks or stationary equipment, plus the ability to work in varied conditions and pass pre-employment
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to listen and solve problems effectively.
- Dedication to providing excellent customer service.
- Must be at least 18 and legally eligible to work in the United States.
Responsibilities
- Performs safety-compliant maintenance tasks and inspections.
- Maintains diesel equipment and completes preventive maintenance.
- Troubleshoots and repairs diesel trucks and stationary equipment.
- Records work performed and reports issues to management.
- Performs lockout/tagout procedures and conducts tests as needed.
- Operates in various weather conditions and through physically demanding tasks.
